GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is responsible for performing and providing clerical support services to the Access & Intake/General Revenue, and Community First Choice (CFC) Department. Work includes using a computer to prepare weekly reports, types correspondence to consumers and families, compose letters, maintain a monthly Person Directed Plan (PDP) calendar, general filing, faxing, typing, completing consumer demographics in Streamline, updates financial information by calling consumer/families to obtain current information, tracks program deadlines, handles and maintains confidential information, data entry into internal data base system (Streamline), runs weekly reports in Streamline, data entry into the Client Assignment Registration (CARE), Community Services Interest List (CSIL) system, inquiry into the Texas Medicaid Health & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) portal to check for Medicaid eligibility and uploads documents to the Community First Choice/Managed Care Organization portal in the LIDDA Connect (Share-point). This position is also responsible for any combinations of clerical tasks such as properly maintaining a consumer database, creating CFC and General Revenue (GR) Intake & annual consumer packets, types/mails Home Community Services (HCS) Interest List enrollments, registers new individuals in CARE, handles consumer discharges, handles the postage meter, scans documents to Streamline, purchases supplies and equipment for the office, answers the telephone and gives information and takes messages for staff housed at the Wilson IDD Admin office, distributes incoming and outgoing mail on a daily basis and monitors referrals from the CFC Managed Care Organization (MCO) to ensure deadlines are met. This position requires a friendly demeanor as well as motivation and dedication to serving the needs of the individuals enrolled with our agency. Staff will perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Camino Real Community Services is a trauma-informed care agency and implements the principles of trauma informed care. This position is required to be trained in trauma-informed care.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from an accredited high school or GED, plus three (3) years’ experience in a field related to the duties of this position.
- Each year (30 semester hours) of accredited college work in a related field may substitute for the required work experience on a year-to-year basis.
- Experience with typing, data entry, filing, document preparation, and telephone communications in a healthcare agency
- Experience with office automation, computer, and/or data processing systems.
PREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Be able to speak both English and Spanish.
- Lives in the service area.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to purchase supplies and equipment for the office, making sure processing of such occurs.
- Duplicates and collates materials by copying, scanning and using the fax machine as required.
- Ability to keep Consumer Database accurate by routinely updating it with current information.
- Ability to enter all information from service provision notes into our database system (Anasazi).
- Ability to log onto the CARE database system to complete data entry.
- Ability to enter accurate data into the state’s CARE system in a timely manner.
- Ability to use appropriate and friendly speech when answering telephone or in conversation with customers, vendor/suppliers and co-workers.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to plan and implement consumer services.
- Ability to work under conditions requiring physical stamina and the ability to work in a stressful environment.
