GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following is a list of job duties and responsibilities, including essential and marginal tasks:
The ECI records clerk will perform administrative support and technical program assistance work. Work involves disseminating information, maintaining filing systems, and general administrative support work. The records clerk will follow established agency procedures regarding maintenance, storage, right of access, security and confidentiality of consumer private health information which also includes the preparation and transportation of retention records. The records clerk will also complete records requests following agency procedures. This position will also involve you in record reviews and attending records committee meetings as needed. This position requires the ability to lift 25-30 lbs. over/above head and carry 25/30 lbs. The use of a personal vehicle may be required. The records clerk will report to and be supervised by the site Team Leader/Supervisor.

- Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalency (GED). One (1) years’ experience in a field related to the duties of the position.
- One (1) years’ experience using a personal computer and knowledge of office practices and procedures.
PREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience handling medical records.
- Ability to read, write and speak Spanish.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal skills.
- Must possess strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment to include computers, printers, fax machines, scanners, copy machines, etc.
- Must demonstrate knowledge of Microsoft program including Outlook.
- Must demonstrate knowledge and ability to apply agency and program specific policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
- Ability to communicate and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public.
- Must be detailed oriented, reliable, and able to prioritize multiple projects.
- Ability to work under conditions requiring physical stamina and ability to work in a stressful environment.
