GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position performs complex managerial work overseeing the daily operations and activities of the Preadmission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR) and Enhanced Community Coordination (ECC) programs for the IDD Local Authority.  Work involves enrolling individuals into the PASSR program; working closely with Nursing Facilities (NF); training and supervision of PASSR Habilitation Coordinators and ECC Service Coordinators; developing guidelines, procedures, rules, and regulations for these programs, and performing educational activities as the Diversion Coordinator for the PASRR program.  The person selected must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and will work closely with Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) PASRR unit and Nursing Facilities.  This position will also serve as the Diversion Coordinator for the IDD department which involves identifying and working towards eliminating barriers preventing individuals from having choices where they want to live.  This position requires self-motivation to provide the highest quality of services to individuals with Intellectual Disabilities.  This position offices in Floresville, Texas and is under the supervision of the IDD Program Director.  Position requires travel within our service area and may require the use of personal vehicle.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in social, behavioral, or human services, plus 2 years of related work experience in providing service coordination/case management services.
OR a Master’s Degree in social, behavioral, or human services with 1-year related work experience.
Previous experience with PASRR and ECC services and program requirements.

PREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Prior supervisory experience.
Experience in the IDD Local Authority system.
Bilingual English/Spanish.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of HCS/TXHML guidelines and agency policies & procedures.
Complex skills in assessing individual needs and abilities.
