Camino Real Community Services is a Trauma-Informed Care Agency and implements the principles of Trauma-Informed Care.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Camino Real Community Services provides services to persons with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, and mental health disorders across the lifespan.   As a critical member of the agency the IT director will Implement and maintain agency network resources inclusive of network devices, computers, printers, support utilities, and end-user applications, to provide administrative offices and program offices with required functionality.  Develop specifications and procure technology assets and services.  Provide expertise in the development, deployment, and use of information technology in the agency.  Oversee IT infrastructure and systems.  Maintain and track the Help Desk Ticketing system to include task management and responsiveness to requests for assistance with IT related issues.  Performs complex technical work related to Information Technology with a strong emphasis on customer services and satisfaction.  Must possess strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple competing priorities.  Must have ability to research and secure external vendors for specialty technology services.  Oversees Cybersecurity for the agency.  Requires dependability and consistency with attendance.  Camino Real operates under a trauma informed approach based on the six key principles of safety, trustworthiness and transparency, peer support, collaboration and mutuality, empowerment, and choice, and cultural, historical and gender issues and require all personnel to participate in annual training.  Must have a Texas Driver’s License and be willing to travel for work related responsibilities. 

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field,
  • At least three (3) years of experience in technical positions working with network servers, printers, and workstations in the capacity of installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of business networking including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Knowledge of standard office productivity software such as Microsoft Windows 10 Operating System and Microsoft Office.

PREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in technical positions working with network servers, printers, and workstations in the capacity of installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Three (3) years’ experience as a manager or in a supervisory capacity.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
 
  • Ability to work under conditions requiring physical stamina and ability to work in a stressful environment.
  • Knowledge of network servers, operating systems, and system integration.
  • Strong organizational, communication and people skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and address problems promptly.
  • Ability to deal effectively with other staff/departments to problem solve and implement corrective actions/processes.
  • Ability to keep records and accurate reports from a variety of information.
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive and accurate reports and summaries in a timely manner.
  • Ability to manage and direct multiple tasks/assignments.
