Agency vehicles may be available; however, mileage is reimbursed for some activities requiring use of personal vehicles.  The selected applicant must be able to attend approximately five working days of staff development orientation in Lytle, TX.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Coordinated Specialty Care (CSC) Team Leader reports directly to and is provided leadership and supervision by the Adult MH Services Director.  The CSC Team Leader is an experienced Master’s level clinician who is trained in working with individuals experiencing First Episode Psychosis (FEP).  Will be the primary contact person for clients and families and will spearhead efforts to engage clients in treatment.  Primary goals are to build a positive relationship with program participants and assist them in developing their abilities for illness self-management.  The Team Leader will work with participants using a shared decision-making process to develop and modify treatment plans.  Will provide support, education, consultation, and counseling services to participants and their families.

Responsibilities include program and staff development and standards compliance through effective leadership, communication, team effort and performance improvement to staff supervised.  Provides administrative and program oversight of all CSC staff in their provision of services.  Ensures services are provided to consumers and families.  The Team Leader is ultimately responsible for the performance of their staff and shall ensure compliance with set productivity standards and the quality of work done by staff.  Must be capable of developing and sustaining effective communication, working relations and collaboration with employees, county/city officials and other agencies.  Will be responsible for program planning, policy development, and inter-agency coordination of CSC service program.  Will be a participant in scheduled meetings to assist in developing strategies to increase Medicaid system capacities, and focus Medicaid services on specific population.  Extensive travel required in the service area.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s Degree in counseling or social work
Must have and maintain a current license in good standing in the State of Texas
Must be licensed as an LPC or LMF
*LPC-A would be considered within 3 months of full licensure, but salary would be reduced until fully licensed.

PREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Bilingual in English/Spanish
Reside in the service area
At least one year of post licensure experience in social, behavioral, or human services, including diagnostics

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of social work and/or counseling principles, theory, and methods.
Knowledge of applied behavioral science and evidenced-based practices in Psychology.
Knowledge in enhancing social, psychosocial, or bio psychosocial functioning of individuals, couples, families, groups, organizations and communities.
Knowledge in interviewing, assessment, and evaluation.
Good organizational skills and the ability to plan, develop, and implement consumer services.
Ability to work independently and organize work efficiently.
Ability to supervise the work of others and provide guidance to other staff.
Ability to communicate effectively, good written and verbal skills.
Ability to work under conditions requiring physical stamina and the ability to work in a stressful environment.
