Assessment
Comprehensive mental health evaluations for individuals seeking access to mental health services are available. Assessments are completed by licensed clinical staff and qualified mental health professionals to determine eligibility for services. Program assignments and outside referrals are made considering needs and eligibility. Crisis assessments are available 24/7.
Counseling
Short-term, evidence based therapies can be provided to eligible persons for counseling. Counseling is a collaborative effort between the counselor and client which helps the client identify goals, improve problem-solving skills, communication, and coping strategies. Counseling promotes positive behavior changes for improved wellness and self-esteem.
Medication Services
Services provided by a physician, which includes the provision of medication. Provides medication monitoring and education to better treat and inform the individuals of the need for continuous treatment.
Psychosocial Rehabilitation
Provides psychiatric rehabilitation services to authorized individuals eligible for an intensive level of care focusing on recovery, empowerment, symptom management, and meeting identified individualized treatment needs. Rehabilitation services include site-based group training and community-based individual training. Program goal is to improve life skills and independent functioning, reduce hospitalizations and arrests.
Assertive Community Treatment
A specialized program providing intensive community-based rehabilitation services to identified individuals with severe and persistent mental illnesses who have a history of multiple hospitalizations. The program goal is to maintain community living by reducing hospitalizations and improving quality of life.
Supported Employment
Our services provide working with individuals enrolled in our Mental Health programs assist a person in choosing and obtaining employment in regular, community jobs. Activities include assisting the person in finding a job, helping the individual complete job applications, job readiness, job interview training, job coaching, job advocating with potential employers, and employer negotiations, among other activities. Employment is sought in the communities where individuals live, and supports are provided according to their needs. Our dedicated team is here to help you reach your potential for successful employment.
Supported Housing
 Everyone needs safe, decent, and stable housing. We are here to help, and support based on the specific needs of each person, including locating affordable housing, negotiating leases, acquiring household items, obtaining subsidies, moving into residences, and successfully maintaining residences. A home can be the start of the path toward your recovery of living independently within your community.
Texas Correctional Office on Offenders with Medical or Mental Impairments (TCOOMMI)
This service addresses the unique needs of adult offenders with mental impairments. The TCOOMMI program is designed using a multi-service approach to mental health treatment directed at reducing the recidivism of offenders with special needs. Services are provided to individuals’ currently on parole or probation. Services include case management, psychosocial rehabilitation, psychiatric services, and medication monitoring.
